Our foundry was founded 1990 by a small group of foremen in the capital of Chernozem - Woronezh. The aim of this group was revival of bell -casting according to the oldest techniques. We found bells with Russian profiles, which have great timbre (harmony) and long duration of sounding (melodiousness ). We have chosen one of the oldest methods of bell-casting, notably casting in sand mold on basis of exact copies of bells of the 16th century.
Our foundry keeps carefully traditions of masters of the past. The whole know-how of bronze casting, using of the casting secrets of ancient foremen in combination with employment of advanced manufacturing sciences make it possible for us to assert, that the quality of our products is very high and that every product of our foundry is a real artwork.
We use only classical bell bronze in the capacity of material, which consists of the alloy of tin ( 18-20%) and copper (82-80%).
By the surface treatment of bells we use manual labour without machine tools and difficult manufacturing equipment. The topping of bells is made by means of hard and soft cleaning and buffing. Clappers of bells are founded of steel. Each clapper has its profile (its form), which is identical with clappers of ancient times.

Our foundry produces originally designed souvenir bells and also ship's bells of different dimensions. One of our professional achievements is making of a special composition of moulding alloy for bells. It makes us possible to produce bells, adorned with different exquisite ornaments, meanwhile there is no damage for beauty of their sounding.
Experienced experts control acoustic characteristics and quality of integrated products. We can say with confidence, that our masters achieved the best quality of bronze casting, beauty of design and harmony of sounding.
The custom of peal came to Rus from the West, where the cult of bells existed for a long time. The art of bell-casting was considered as a sacred trade and finished bells were christened and were given their own names.
Since earliest times peal followed people everywhere. Especially this assertion is actual for Russians. Bells rang in the days of great celebrations and their sounding could be heard in churches during religious feasts. A bell called people together to a popular assembly; let’s remember, that there was an assembly bell in Novgorod. The peal gave distress signals, called for help by the tolling the tocsin. By the ringing of bells people urged each other to defend their motherland, met regiments from the stricken field. Bells gave signs to strays. They were placed in lighthouses and on buoys and helped sailors to avoid collisions with cliffs by foggy weather, to pass rocks and shoals. Distinguished guest were also welcomed by peal, people rang bells by arrival of tsar's personages and celebrations of important events.
